Hi Yves and Mathieu, thanks for the replies.

Any timescale for this next release? Not really urgent, but I'd like to get an idea of when this will be available.

Thanks
Andrea

I put Alberto in cc so that he is aware this will be solved in the next release.

This is due to the fact that MSIE 7 respect w3c standards more decently than MSIE 5/6, and as such behave like Gecko/KHTML (rendering engine of Mozilla and of Konqueror/Safari). As result, dirty hacks that were necessary for MSIE 5/6 should no longer be used. Test functions in this regard have been updated to take this into account. This will be available at LCG Savannah after the next upgrade.

Hi Andrea,

This is not really a surprise to us, in the sense that IE7 was said to conform better to the css standard which means that it should be treated as other browsers while for lower versions of IE we were forced to add some javascript to handle the new menu.

So, in principle the fix should consist in identifying IE7 as opposed to previous versions when sniffing the environment we are in and adapt accordingly.

I'll search a system on which IE7 is available and I'll fix it asap. In the meantime I am afraid you will have to use an other browser.
Cheers,
Yves

Hi, drop down menus do not work in the new Savannah with IE7. If I out my mouse on Bugs I only see the little window saying 'Bug tracker:...', but no menu. For reference I see the menu in FireFox (but I would like to use IE7).

This is annoying because the only way to submit bugs I have is to go back to the main page. And I like submitting bugs ;-)

Thanks
Andrea
